Khamang Dhokala Of Channa Dal


Channa Dal:1 Bowl

Green chilly: 4or 5

Garlic: 4 to 6 petals

Salt:    As your taste

Sodium Carbonate: 1 teaspoon

Oil: 4 tablespoon

Mustard seeds: 1 tablespoon

lemon juice:  1 tablespoon.

Hing:  1 teaspoon

Ingredients of chutney

grated coconut: 1 Bowl

Green chilly : 5 to 6

powder of groundnut:  2 tablespoon

Ginger : small piece



Wash the channa dal with water, soak it at night. Grind it in the mixture in the morning. Soak this paste again for 4to 5 hours. make a paste of garlic, chilly, & ginger. Mix it in the paste of dal.  Add salt, sugar, lemon juice & small amount of turmeric powder. stir all the mixture. Then add 1/2 tablespoon sodium carbonate in it & again stir it. Take cooker tiffin spread oil in it & pour this paste in it. Keep this mixture for15 minutes in the cooker for steam on the gas.  

After cooling makes its cakes.  Spread grated coconut on it.  Make chutney of grated coconut with green chilly. Serve it with fry chilly.
